From the West NYS Thruway east to exit 33 (Verona) - follow direction as above From the North Route 81 south to NYS thruway-east on NYS thruway, follow directions "From the West" above. From the South Route 81 north to NYS Thruway-east on NYS Thruway, follow directions "From the West" above. For those familiar with Upstate New York, Vernon is located on Route 5, between Utica and Oneida. Ward Street runs north off Route 5 in Vernon.
